S.G.A Govt. Degree College was established during the year 1987 with 6.27 acres of land in the Heart of Yellamanchil Town. Our college has been striving for games & sports excellence and at the same time sponsoring variety of activities that would contribute to the whole some development of personality and promote health among students.

The Department of Physical Education is organizing the sports programmes on in basis of practice followed by administrative heads derived, Guidelines from Association of Indian university and other sports agencies. Now we are working on to establish new sports policy which can carry out the students sports activity smoothly also it needs to effective functioning of the department to achieve derived goals.
